Happy Saturday!!

Morning all...

I hope everyone has been enjoying the first couple of weeks of Spring. It has been typical Early Spring weather here in VA. The cars, yard, & front porch are covered in yellow pollen. All the weeds have shown their ugly heads from out lawns as if they are Poltergeists. (I hate them) Although the other Spring occurance that I hate worst than weeds in the yard are the freakin' Ants that come into the house!!! OMGosh, I hate them crawling all over my counters. The other day I discovered a little spot on my counter that lead to a beautiful, fragrant dish of those little smelly rocks you can get to make the house not smell like a poopy diaper. (o.k., maybe my house is the only one that smells like a diaper pail at times. :o) O.K... so back to the smelly dish... Well, I checked out the reason why they were going to the dish. I didn't think it was because of the rocks....and I was right. One of the Daycare kids threw some of their food into the rocks!!  Grrrr. Oh well, a kid is a kid. ;o}

**Update** I did WI and Measure this week and I was pretty astonished as well as very pleased.  Since January 2010, I have lost 74 lbs and 43 total inches!!!  I spoke with my Health Coach on Tuesday as we always do. Cheryl was and always is so excited and supportive. I can't imagine not having her in my life through this journey. She has such a kind, giving heart. Always willing to be there for me when I need her. Cheryl in her own life is so busy with family, Her very successful TSFL/MF business and travel, but She is always available no matter where She is.  I see my Dr. in 3 weeks for a check up and to talk to him about some concerns since losing the weight. The last time He saw me was in Jan. when I started the program and I had lost 20+ lbs then. I can't wait to see his reaction at this appt. Dr Marcal has been very supportive of my program from the beginning. In Dec '09, He and I talked about Bariatric Surgery and He referred me to a Surgeon and I was ready to pick up the phone to make an appointment, but something stopped me and I am so glad now that I didn't do it.

We have had a good April so far. With the expected little repairs to the house. One day the kitchen faucet exploded on me, so Nelson replaced the faucet and I love it. (If you can love a faucet) Also, on the same day the door knob broke off in Nelson's hand. We bought a lawn mower for the first time since being in the house. I always had a landscaper do it for us, but had to let them go.  I love to mow the lawn. It really is like therapy for me. Well I had to replace the food addictions with something! ;o}

So, all in all we are doing well here and lovin' VA.
Until next time......hugs and love,

Come on Weekend.....

Good Morning all....
My last post talked about hoping for a better week, well it was in some ways fine but with life's unexpected surprises things just started falling apart one thing after the other.
First, I was in the kitchen cleaning up and getting the kids lunch, when all of a sudden the faucet sprung a leak spraying water into my face and all over the kitchen floor. lol
I thought I fixed it, but then by the next day water started pouring out of the cabinet under the sink and the faucet just spewed water all over me again. Of course the kids were loving it and saying over and over..."Do it again Aunt Kathy".
This was over the span of two days starting on Monday afternoon. By Monday night Nelson is banging on the front door to let him in. I'm thinking to myself, "Why is He not using his key?"  As I opened the door, He was holding the door knob in his hand!!!  lol. As the old saying goes, When it rains it pours!!
Once again, Nelson is my hero. Tuesday night, He installed a beautiful new kitchen faucet that is a huge upgrade from what was there. This weekend He will tackle the doorknob.

Just to update on my weight loss, Monday I weighed in with a total of 71 lbs. lost.  I am now desperatly needing to go find some new pants. All of my pants are literally falling off of me. I have a bad case of "Granny butt". You know what that is....when your butt used to fill out the seat of your pants, but now I have no ass and so my pants are just hangin'!!  Also the crotch of my pants hang to my knees!!  LMAO (literally)  :o)
I daily ponder the thoughts of just how big I allowed myself to get. Also, how much I was eating and I wonder just how many calories I was consuming on a daily basis. I  think it would frighten me even more. I am so grateful that I woke up and saw the truth in the mirror.

Well...time to feed babies. Until next time....xoxoxo

These are just a few pics of my Current & Previous Daycare Kids.
This is my very favorite Baby Picture of Charlotte. She was always giving us that big toothless smile which lit up the room. We thought Char would never grow any hair.

This is Charlotte on her 4th B-Day this past Saturday. She loves her Baby Rose Char is going to be a good little Mama some day, Just like her Mom, Jill!
This is our Lily.  As you can see by her baby pic above...She was so tiny when she came to us.  She was 15 months and ready to take on the world.
The pic to the Left is Lily at 4yrs when she started her 2nd yr at Pre-School. The pic to the right is Lily and her Uncle Nelson. They both absolutely adore each other. To Lily, Her Uncle Nelson hung the moon & stars. Once Nelson comes home from work, she is glued to his side, literally!!  She is growing up to be such an intelligent loving girl that we are so proud of.

This is my sweet little Man Logan. I have loved on Lo since he was a babe too. (see left pic)
The pic on the right is Lo at 3 yrs right after I cut his hair. The last pic is of Logan in early 9/09  just before he started Pre-School.  From the beginning, I called him "My little Pile-Driver"  He is so strong and active and doesn't stop moving, unless he is zonked out during nap time. Logan will be turning 4 at the end of this month!

This is my My Little Lucy. She is the Sister of Charlotte. I have a huge soft spot in my heart for this little one. She came to me as a little peanut and she is still a little squirt!!! :o)
Lulu grew hair a little sooner than Char so we can finally put a pony in her hair. She has always been a strong, independant baby. She loves playing dress up and holds ownership over a favorite hat and purse she wears mostly all day when she is here. The last picture is Lucy dressed up for Charlotte's B-Day party last weekend. She is Tinkerbell and I think it is so fitting for such a little angel (with an attitude!)

This is Kennedi. There is a full circle story with Kennedi. One of my very first Daycare Kids is Her oldest Cousin, Blake. Kennedi's other cousin is Brady. (pic above) I have loved and cared for all three children. It's been such a gift to watch them all grow up. Kennedi is 1 1/2 and she is my little cuddler. When she is done cuddling...watch out! She is a ball of fire!! She takes control of the playroom and makes all the other kids do what she says.  lol   She's also talking so much now. Kennedi is a heart stealer.

MORE PICTURES TO COME!!!
