Happy Saturday!!

Morning all...

I hope everyone has been enjoying the first couple of weeks of Spring. It has been typical Early Spring weather here in VA. The cars, yard, & front porch are covered in yellow pollen. All the weeds have shown their ugly heads from out lawns as if they are Poltergeists. (I hate them) Although the other Spring occurance that I hate worst than weeds in the yard are the freakin' Ants that come into the house!!! OMGosh, I hate them crawling all over my counters. The other day I discovered a little spot on my counter that lead to a beautiful, fragrant dish of those little smelly rocks you can get to make the house not smell like a poopy diaper. (o.k., maybe my house is the only one that smells like a diaper pail at times. :o) O.K... so back to the smelly dish... Well, I checked out the reason why they were going to the dish. I didn't think it was because of the rocks....and I was right. One of the Daycare kids threw some of their food into the rocks!!  Grrrr. Oh well, a kid is a kid. ;o}

**Update** I did WI and Measure this week and I was pretty astonished as well as very pleased.  Since January 2010, I have lost 74 lbs and 43 total inches!!!  I spoke with my Health Coach on Tuesday as we always do. Cheryl was and always is so excited and supportive. I can't imagine not having her in my life through this journey. She has such a kind, giving heart. Always willing to be there for me when I need her. Cheryl in her own life is so busy with family, Her very successful TSFL/MF business and travel, but She is always available no matter where She is.  I see my Dr. in 3 weeks for a check up and to talk to him about some concerns since losing the weight. The last time He saw me was in Jan. when I started the program and I had lost 20+ lbs then. I can't wait to see his reaction at this appt. Dr Marcal has been very supportive of my program from the beginning. In Dec '09, He and I talked about Bariatric Surgery and He referred me to a Surgeon and I was ready to pick up the phone to make an appointment, but something stopped me and I am so glad now that I didn't do it.

We have had a good April so far. With the expected little repairs to the house. One day the kitchen faucet exploded on me, so Nelson replaced the faucet and I love it. (If you can love a faucet) Also, on the same day the door knob broke off in Nelson's hand. We bought a lawn mower for the first time since being in the house. I always had a landscaper do it for us, but had to let them go.  I love to mow the lawn. It really is like therapy for me. Well I had to replace the food addictions with something! ;o}

So, all in all we are doing well here and lovin' VA.
Until next time......hugs and love,

Come on Weekend.....

Good Morning all....
My last post talked about hoping for a better week, well it was in some ways fine but with life's unexpected surprises things just started falling apart one thing after the other.
First, I was in the kitchen cleaning up and getting the kids lunch, when all of a sudden the faucet sprung a leak spraying water into my face and all over the kitchen floor. lol
I thought I fixed it, but then by the next day water started pouring out of the cabinet under the sink and the faucet just spewed water all over me again. Of course the kids were loving it and saying over and over..."Do it again Aunt Kathy".
This was over the span of two days starting on Monday afternoon. By Monday night Nelson is banging on the front door to let him in. I'm thinking to myself, "Why is He not using his key?"  As I opened the door, He was holding the door knob in his hand!!!  lol. As the old saying goes, When it rains it pours!!
Once again, Nelson is my hero. Tuesday night, He installed a beautiful new kitchen faucet that is a huge upgrade from what was there. This weekend He will tackle the doorknob.

Just to update on my weight loss, Monday I weighed in with a total of 71 lbs. lost.  I am now desperatly needing to go find some new pants. All of my pants are literally falling off of me. I have a bad case of "Granny butt". You know what that is....when your butt used to fill out the seat of your pants, but now I have no ass and so my pants are just hangin'!!  Also the crotch of my pants hang to my knees!!  LMAO (literally)  :o)
I daily ponder the thoughts of just how big I allowed myself to get. Also, how much I was eating and I wonder just how many calories I was consuming on a daily basis. I  think it would frighten me even more. I am so grateful that I woke up and saw the truth in the mirror.

Well...time to feed babies. Until next time....xoxoxo

Looking Forward to a better week....

Good Morning all...
Well, this week was a total bust. I had my bi-weekly treatment on my foot Tuesday, and I had so much pain this time that I couldn't walk. I couldn't even take care of my babies the rest of the week.  So, here I sat for the last three days, on my heine doing nothing!  As most of you know me, I am not one to sit around and do nothing. It drives me nuts.

This morning, I can at least walk a little normally. Man, I can't wait until this thing on my foot is gone.

I am still going strong on Medifast. My weigh in days are Tuesday mornings, so I will wait to see how the week went, but let me tell ya...It was a very difficult week. With not being able to do anything, sitting around bored and thinking about food was not a good thing. I don't know why I torture myself with watching Food Network, but it's one of my fav channels! I did a lot of thinking about all of the forbidden foods, then I struggled, texted a friend for help and did a lot of praying!  Well, I am happy to say that I am still 100% OP and I haven't slipped once! (ty God)

Can you tell I'm bored..lol  I have nothing to say, really.
Thanks for visiting my blog. It really does make me smile! :o)

Hey Ya'll!!!!

Sorry it's been so long since I have posted here.  The good thing about not being here, is that I have much to write about.

I will start out by telling you, I was away trying to design a website!  It's not easy!  I am one of those kind of people that likes order, clean lines, no mess or clutter. I thought to myself, I'm an intelligent woman even though I spend my days and nights with kids who have a limited vocabulary...lol      I convinced myself that I could design a website on my own.  HA HA HAA HAAAA!  I bought a package from Go Daddy.com  because they tote themselves as having the simplest way to get on-line quickly. Well, I just called them and asked for my money back!!!  I worked on it for a week, and all I got from it was frustration.  So, I have this beautiful Blog that Chelsea designed for me and I am a happy girl!  My advice, unless you KNOW what you are doing, leave it to the professionals!! No wonder they get the big bucks for designing a site.

Well, I can't remember the last time I reported my "numbers" for my weight loss. I haven't done measurements in a month, but my last Weigh-In (WI) day was Tuesday, and I have lost 68 lbs in 12 wks!!!  I have had 5 people this week as me about what I am doing. When I went to my Podiatrist's office yesterday, He asked me if I was feeling o.k.  I said of course, doing well. Then that led him to ask me if I have been on a weight-loss program because for the month that I have been coming into his office, his Nurse and Receptionist noticed and wanted to ask me if I was losing weight but didn't want to offend me. LOL
Medifast has been THE best program I have ever been on. I don't feel like I am missing out on certain foods (o.k., that's a little white lie....I want a big juicy burger w/ fries, baby!) The food tastes really great after some trial and error and flavor/spice additions.  I can honestly say that I have not slipped back once in the 12 wks. I have been 100% on plan, all the time!!

The hardest things that I had to give up are:

All Bread... (and that's tough for this Italian girl)
Milk products... (yea, that means my weakness...Ice Cream)
Sweet Tea... (awww, man...Splenda IS NOT the same)
Fruit...(I love me some fruit)

The Best things I can now do:

I can now sleep laying flat in the bed...For 5 yrs, I have had to sleep sitting/propped up because I couldn't breathe.
I can climb the stairs at Home...  I used to climb any stairs with pain in my back, feet and knees and I was extremly winded once I reached the top.
I feel energetic and I don't need a nap in the afternoons just to re-charge.  I chase the kids now and wear them out!!!
I don't have to adjust the seat in the car all the way back. I fit behind the wheel now, no problem!

I do seriously need to buy some new pants though. I am always pulling them up! Fortunatly, I had at least 8 blouses/tops that I bought a year ago that I got home and realized that I could not wear.  Now,they are either fitting perfectly or are baggy. (not complaining)  :o)

That's all for tonight....Check back soon, now that I am not trying to build a website, I have time to update here!
